Hi All,
Attached is a report about the math learning dyscalculia that my oldest daughter has. It is not a well known disorder and it would be a benefit to you and your students if you are aware of the symptoms. Enjoy!
Thanks! Silena

P.S.
Check this website link that my daughter just sent me. It one of the most helpful and useful dyscalculia websites I've seen to date.

Hello Class,
For my special project I decided to do a Math Webquest for a 4th grade classroom. In this webquest, the students work in cooperative learning groups where they are travel agents, planning a Wisconsin vacation for their wonderful teacher! Each group is assigned a different city in Wisconsin and they work together to stick to the budget assigned, planning a 3 day vacation. After their research is complete, they present a powerpoint to the class detailing their destination, the attractions and lodging they chose, as well as how they stayed within their assigned budget. I completed the webquest on Google Sites, where you are allowed to do as many websites as you want...FOR FREE! I love Google....

I had the idea of doing this webquest as a cross-curricular assignment with a focus on Math. However, it can easily be applied to Social Studies or Literacy, as the students are to prepare a persuassive essay at the end, persuading Mrs. Z to choose their city.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy! Click here for the link to the webquest. Let me know if you have any questions!
